Hours for the library 7:15 - 3:30
Students are welcome to come in the morning for book checkout, computer use, or to play board games or complete puzzles. Students are welcome in the library with their signed planner or with their classes during the school day.
Circulation
Students can check out books for two weeks. A renewel period of two weeks will be allowed if no hold on the materials exist. Selected reference books will be included. However, encyclopedias are limited to a one week checkout period with no renewals.
Special materials requiring greater accessibility will be checked out for two days. Renewals are allowed. Special materials include magazines, reserve books, and selected audiovisual materials.
Media personnel will check out the materials for you. Proceed to the checkout desk and materials will be electronically scanned and checked out to you. You can check out as many fiction books as you can take responsibility for. Non-fiction is limited to two books on each subject if many students are working on the same project for school.
Fines
There are no library fines. BUT.... you will be charged for lost or damaged books. Also, you will be receiving weekly reminders of books that are overdue. Please be considerate of others as they need to use the books available in the library too.
Behavior
Behavior will be consistent with educational objectives. Absolute quiet is not possible nor desirable. However, loud talking prevents others from working. When a class in in the Library, students will work at the noise level tolerated by their instructor.
Please refrain from bringing food, drink, and chewing gum to the Library.
